Last week was a long week!
It was multicultural week, and a district wide elementary art show, I picked up so many new and fresh ideas to use at my classroom , and just like any other art teacher, I snapped pics.
Multicultural week was fun and interesting, I actually felt like i was able to connect with students on a more informational note, than art making. They were interested, I was interested, and thats whats important right?
As I am surviving through this school year, I am excited about my super supportive principal allowing me to have new tables in my room, and giving me some wiggle room with traditional art lessons that the students and teachers are used to seeing in the school.
Next year is going to be my year to shine!
Cant wait to see what next week brings!

Spring Break Week = First post in my new blog

Spring Break Week has Began, and I am in for some thrills.....
Wow! This weekend was full of insightful and interesting art educators striving to change the art world.  Thanks NAEA for providing me with a community that has my back . After attending two TAEA conferences, and meeting all of the wonderful people locally, NAEA was a little bit overwhelming. But I loved it.
Spring break is here! and off to New Orleans, LA I go. This will be my first trip after I started teaching, so the goodies I find to bring back to my classroom, will of course become future art lessons!
